Lisa Lehan is an estate planning attorney who truly enjoys helping her clients navigate the estate planning process.

Whether her clients are a young professional couple starting their family and careers, a retiring couple navigating changing family dynamics, recent widows or widowers facing the uncertainty of the federal estate tax and/or Nebraska inheritance tax reporting process, or successful business owners facing a family or third-party ownership transition, Lisa listens to their objectives and guides them through the personal and legal decisions necessary to meet their objectives. She then develops customized estate and wealth transfer plans to help her clients accomplish their goals, while also helping them obtain the most favorable income, gift, and estate tax treatment possible. Her personal and friendly demeanor eases clients' worries about a process that is very personal and often daunting.

In addition, Lisa specializes in federal and state tax controversy cases. She has helped clients abate proposed penalties, implement payment plans, release tax liens, and she has also successfully defended IRS and state department of revenue appeals in the areas of income tax, gift tax, sales tax, and civil penalties. She combines her background in accounting and business management, with her love of diving into complex tax issues, as well as her Gallup Strength of “Competitive” to zealously advocate for her clients.

Lisa previously taught Estate Planning at Creighton University School of Law as an adjunct professor and she frequently writes and speaks on estate planning topics and tax developments.
