Koley Jessen advised Werner Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: WERN), on its acquisition of ReedTMS Logistics, a leading asset-based third-party logistics and truckload provider out of Tampa, Florida specializing in produce transportation across the U.S. The acquisition “further strengthens our freight brokerage capabilities” and “will elevate our logistics portfolio with new customers, by expanding and diversifying our industry verticals,” said Derek Leathers, Werner’s Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, in a press release.

Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Werner is one of the nation’s largest transportation and logistics companies, with 2021 revenues of $2.7 billion and employing more than 14,000 associates.

Koley Jessen attorneys Mike Hupp, Mike Keblesh, David Winkler, and James Glover led the firm's representation of Werner in the deal.

Just last month, Koley Jessen also served as legal counsel to Werner in their acquisition of Baylor Trucking, Inc.
