Koley Jessen obtained a favorable ruling on behalf of Data Axle in District Court against DatabaseUSA and its parent, Everest. The case relates to the 2018 jury verdict and judgements against DatabaseUSA and its founder Vinod Gupta for $11.2 million and $10 million respectively. Unable to pay the Judgment, in 2019 DatabaseUSA filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Nevada, where Data Axle is seeking to hold Gupta, his family office Everest Group, LLC and other conspirators liable for the Judgment.

The most recent ruling in favor of Data Axle allows the company to continue to pursue a claim for payment on the judgement in the bankruptcy proceeding. Read more about the recent ruling here.
