8th Circuit Upholds $21.2 Million Judgment

Koley Jessen successfully represented Infogroup, a leading provider of data and real-time business intelligence solutions for enterprise, small business, nonprofit and political organizations in an appeal before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Paul, Minnesota. On Monday, April 27, 2020, the federal appeals court upheld a $21.2 million judgment against Database USA and founder Vinod Gupta. In August 2018, a jury unanimously found Gupta and DatabaseUSA liable on all seven counts, including infringement of Infogroup’s database copyright and trademarks, unfair competition, false advertising and breach of various contracts.
